In October 2007, I moved to South Asia to volunteer with a non-governmental organization. My Legal Fellowship with this organization focuses on cases involving forced child prostitution. I provide legal research on issues pertaining to these criminal cases and interact with the victims.

I can see how God has been leading me to this opportunity for years. Even before I began law school, God began growing in me a desire to work against human trafficking. As my knowledge of modern slavery increased, God allowed me opportunities to use my education to become involved in efforts to pursue justice on behalf of the oppressed. Last summer, I completed an internship at the Organization of American States’ Anti-Trafficking in Persons Section.

God has also given me a passion for forming friendships with people of all cultures. I am amazed to see how God has integrated my heart’s passions through this opportunity to serve with this NGO in South Asia, and I am so grateful to see the fruit of years of hard work and tears.

Through the generosity of friends and family, God has provided for my financial needs during this time in South Asia. Thank you to everyone who gave!
